I think it's the best RAT Proco makes for bass, but there's too many added options available with companies like Fuzzrocious to not make their versions of a RAT able to retain low end and work better for bass.

I run my avalon > rat > OT and set the noise gate and it's silent. Seems as if the rat doesn't have a wide range, just ON and OFF I have a bunch of dist pedals and the RAT is the best if you like your acid with BALLS.
